Motorists can expect delays and plan their travel accordingly.  Wayside Drive, Green Acres and Leveritt's Loop will serve as detours during the closure. NEW!The Texas Water Development Board has approved by resolution financial assistance in the amount of $5,498,000 to the City of Wimberley to fund construction of wastewater system to serve central Wimberley. The financing package approved on April 11, 2016, consists of a $5,255,000 loan and $243,005 in loan forgiveness from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. In addition to savings from the loan forgiveness, the City could save approximately $1,400,000 over the life of the loan by using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. With the funding assistance approved, the City will be able to construct a wastewater collection system in the central Wimberley area.  In addition, the City will be able to upgrade and expand its existing wastewater treatment plant to 75,000 gallons per day. When complete, the wastewater treatment plant will be able to provide centralized wastewater service to approximately 170 properties in the subject area.
